Lorna Miressi

Lorna G. Miressi, OFS, 71, nee Willerton of Elgin and formerly of Bartlett; loving wife of the late Steven; dear mom of Stephanie (Aaron) Tappan; proud grandma of Asher and Lilliana and beloved sister of a brother who died at a young age; she was also cherished by her late parents, Elmer and Loretta Willerton, nee Hertel. Lorna was loved by many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. She is, not surprisingly, missed by her cat Margo. Lorna was very proud of the fact that she was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Her faith and desire to help people was evident in her daily life. Visitation Thursday, December 29th, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Friday, December 30th, beginning with 9:45 am prayers at the funeral home and processing to Resurrection Catholic Church 30W350 Army Trail Rd, Wayne, IL Mass 10:30 am. Interment Queen of Heaven. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society 1 E Wacker Dr Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60601 would be appreciated.
