Lois the beloved wife of the late Bernard passed away on September 3, 2022 at age 93; loving mother of Judith (Glenn) Babka, the late Gregory (Gretchen) Wojda, Glenn (Carol) Wojda and the late Jeffrey (Rosanne) Wojda; dear sister of the late Ronald Phillip, cherished grandmother of 13; proud great grandmother of 5.
Lois had a career as an executive secretary and had many friends. She was a mother to all of her children’s friends and lived a rich full life.
Lois was known as the great organizer. She left a very detailed history of the family. Her yearly Christmas letters were saved. These read as a journal into their lives. She gave her children personalized calendars for Christmas every year with hand written dates of all of our birthdays and special occasions. Lois had a small art collection and loved going to live plays in Chicago. After retirement Lois traveled with her hubby, Bernie. They went to Italy, France, and England. Their favorite place to be was in Florida and showing their family around Disney World.
A Funeral Mass for Lois will be held on October 29, 2022 at 10am at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church, 131 South Crest Ave., Bartlett, Illinois 60103. Burial will follow mass at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1 South 510 Winfield Rd., Wheaton, Illinois 60187
