Lois Payton

Lois E. Payton, 74, of Elgin, died Saturday, June 25, 2022. Born August 2, 1947 in Chicago. Lois worked in administration at Marshall Field’s for over 25 years. Her faith and her family, especially her grandkids, were always her biggest passion. Beloved wife of Gary; loving mom of Christopher (Anne), Jeffrey (Susan), Mark (Laura) and Catherine (Daniel) Olandese; cherished grandma of Ryan, Delaney, Adam, Tyler, Emma, Gabriella, A.J., William, Nathan and Connor; dear daughter of the late Wilson Wehrman and Lorraine (Floyd) Schroeder; kind sister of Sr Mary Caritas Wehrman SSND, Karl (Diane) Schroeder, Wayne (Cary) Schroeder and the late Ronald (Beth) Wehrman and fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Visitation will continue Thursday, 10:30 am until time of Mass, 11:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 215 Thomas More Dr, Elgin.
