Lois Hoffman (nee Drake), 88, of Mt. Prospect, died October 27, 2012. Born July 3, 1924 in Chicago. She was the daughter of Robert and Lillie (nee Olsen) Drake. Lois was an active volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights for many years and an avid world traveler.
Survivors include children Christine (Tom) Kunce, Therese (Stan) Mensching and Philip (Renee); 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Theon and son-in-law Greg Alcazar.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph, children Kenneth and Judith, granddraughter Elizabeth, brother Robert and sister Dorothy.
Memorial Mass Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 9:30a.m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 W Park St, Arlington Heights. Inurnment private at St Michael the Archangel. Arrangements and Cremation handled by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Red Cross, www.redcross.org, would be appreciated.
