Linda Yuvetta Messer, 82, of Seymour, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on August 30, 1943, in Greenville, SC. Linda was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sevierville. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as working on puzzles and enjoying meals out with her beloved husband. Linda had a passion for shopping, especially for clothing and jewelry, always appreciating beauty and style. Above all, she loved her family wholeheartedly and cherished the time spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Vera Bayne; sons, Donald Ray Barnett and James Walter Barnett; brother, Rick Bayne; sister, Barbara Thatcher (Perry); sister-in-law, Sharon Stover; brothers-in-law, Steve Graves and Don Buckman.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Messer; sons, Michael Messer and Mathue Messer; many grandchildren; sister, Pam Jones (Steve); brother, Roger Bayne (Diane); sisters-in-law, Betty Bayne, Pat Graves, and Gail Buckman; brothers-in-law, Ed Nicolaisen, Eric Nicolaisen (Cris Anne), and Kim Nicolaisen; special nieces, Shannen Jones and Lori Shepard; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 South Greenmeadows Blvd. Streamwood, IL 60107, with a Funeral Service from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Family and Friends may gather on Saturday from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the Funeral Home to say there goodbyes. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL.
