Linda Dougherty, a beloved resident of Hoffman Estates, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 18th, 1948, Linda was known for her kind spirit, unwavering generosity, and unconditional love for her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her devoted son, Eric Dougherty, and his wife, Bethanne Wilson. She also leaves behind her caring brother, Kevin James (the late Laurie) Stearns, . In addition, Linda shared a special, lifelong partnership with Stanley Gorak, who was her constant companion and cherished friend.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Clarence and Germaine Dougherty, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms.
Linda was a woman of quiet strength and endless compassion, whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes, Linda's cremation was private. Funeral arrangements were gracefully handled by Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory in Bartlett.
Linda's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, forever cherished and never forgotten.
