Lillian M. Grabowski, 85, of Bloomingdale died Tuesday July 1, 2025 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born March 26, 1940 in Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Frank M. Grabowski; sister of Lawrence (Carol) Hauser, loving mother of Frank J. Grabowski, the late Patricia Cox, and Linda (William) Grant; cherished grandmother of Lisa Kurzynski, Amanda (Brian) Gracious, Tabitha (Billy) Sandoval, Frank and Lilly Grant, Lydia & Natalie Shamoun; dear great-grandmother of Sean, Nick, Lexie, Lucy, Tristan and Silas and fond aunt of Jimmy, Joey and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Marion (nee Schmitt) Hauser. Lillian lived a life in devotion to her family and to God. After having raised her children in Chicago, Frank and Lillian moved to Bloomingdale in 1985. Their Bloomingdale home gained quite a bit of notoriety with their trademark horse and carriage at the end of their driveway. Lillian was a devout Catholic and cherished friend to many. Anyone who met Lillian instantly was welcomed with warm conversation, good humor and a fast-forming friendship. The loss of Lillian is profound to the family, but her legacy of love, family, friendship and faith lives on in her family. Visitation 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S Roselle Road, Roselle. Funeral Wednesday 9:30am going to St. Walter Catholic Church Mass 10:00am. Internment St. Adalbert Cemetery.
