In loving memory of Levi Allen Coulter. Born August 2, 2016, was called to heaven January 14, 2019. Beautiful and cherished son of Matthew and Sarah (nee Edelstein) Coulter.
Levi was, and continues to be, an inspiration for strength, courage, determination and limitless love. In his brief time, he deeply touched the lives of family, friends, many therapists, doctors and nurses. His life started with many questions and no answers and he constantly faced many obstacles and challenges. Despite his many limitations, he worked though the pain and hurdles and was able to make amazing progress which was once thought to be unreachable. Levi was not defined by his special needs and delays, he was perfectly imperfect.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his Bop and Nani, Brent and Susan Coulter, his Grampy and Grandma, Harvey and Kathleen Edelstein; his Great Grandparents, Italo and Dorothy Mastro; loving nephew of Luke and Annie Murray, Elizabeth Edelstein and Michael and Kristin Edelstein; adored cousin of Alaina, Lincoln and Joy; as well as a number of great-aunts, great-uncles, and other relatives and friends who loved Levi deeply. He was proceeded in death by his Great Papas and Bubbe, Irving and Florence Edelstein, Great Grandma and Grandpa Allen and Marna Coulter, Dr. Dwight and Betty McGoon.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Northwestern Medicine's Central DuPage, Delnor, and Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospitals, DuPage Medical Group Pediatrics, Lurie Children's Hospital, Wheaton Eye Clinic and Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio for their incredible care and continued support. The family would also like to convey their deep appreciation to Levi's many amazing therapists who worked with Levi on a weekly basis, some since his birth.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be made to Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Outpatient Therapy.
