Letitia A. Loren

Letitia A. Loren (née Farrell), 89, of Chicago and Downers Grove, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026, surrounded by the family who loved her dearly.

She loved going to the show (the movies) with her grandchildren, Black Friday shopping with her daughter, and watching old movies with her son and son and law , especially those featuring unforgettable individuals like Hermione Gingold or anything on turner classic. She truly made every holiday special, from her White Castle stuffing and gravy at Thanksgiving to her Scottish shortbread at Christmas, along with setting up the manger scene and Christmas village. Creating family traditions that will be carried on for generations.

Letitia was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Loren and the loving mother of Dan Loren and Anita (Gregory) Sayad. She was a cherished grandmother to Brett (Kira) Longfellow, Trevor Sayad, and Connor (Kristina Cassin) Sayad, and a proud great-grandmother to Lexis, Brandon, Cali, and Camren. She was also a devoted companion to Don Johnson and a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Letitia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, as well as her three brothers and one sister. Her warmth, music, traditions, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church, 131 S. Crest Avenue, Bartlett, Illinois.

Family and friends will meet at 1:15 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, Illinois, for burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
