Leslie Frank Trinder, 85 of Streamwood, IL, formerly of Hamburg, NY, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
Born March 21, 1925 in Hamburg. He was the son of Elmer and Jennie (nee Decker). A veteran of WWII. Leslie was very proud of his community where he drove truck #17 for the township before retiring. He was actively involved in many of its organizations and was especially proud of his work with the Lakeview and Lakeshore Volunteer Fire Departments. Leslie lived in Hamburg until 2000 before moving to Illinois to be with his family.
Survivors include his son David (Tina) and granddaughters Amanda and Amberle.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (nee Wirth), children James and Nancy parents, and many he was considered a brother to.
A graveside service will be Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, NY. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Arrangements were handled by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood, IL. 630-289-8054 or www.countrysidefuneralhomes.com
