Leslie Catenacci

February 2, 1940 — December 6, 2022

Leslie (Les) W. Catenacci passed away December 6th, 2022, he was born February 2nd, 1940. He was the son of Angelo Catenacci and Elizabeth (Specht) Catenacci. He was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, the 11th of 11 children. Les graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, Illinois and attended College of DuPage. Les was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Les resided in Elgin, formerly of Arlington Heights.

Les met his wife Kathrine (Kathy)(nee) Novack and they were married on May 25th, 1968. Les worked in many industries and was co-owner of a collections consulting business in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Les and Kathy enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Les was an avid Jeopardy fan and rarely missed an episode. He enjoyed the time he had with his grandchildren, Mikey and Alisyn, and was very proud of their accomplishments. Mikey a Poly-Sci/History graduate from Bradley University, and Ali, a 3rd year Nursing Major at Goshen College. He was a huge supporter of Alisyn’s collegiate softball team, the Goshen College Maple Leaf’s. He watched many of her games via livestream.

Les is survived by his sons Michael (Kelly) and Anthony, 2 grandchildren, Michael and Alisyn, one sister-in-law Kathleen Catenacci; one brother in law Michael (Joan) Novack, and two sister in laws Marilyn (late Paul) Novack and Nancy Catenacci along with many nieces and nephews; proud master of Peni.

He was predeceased by his parents; wife of 35 years Kathryn, 5 sisters and their spouses Margaret Louise (Alvin Courtney) (Charles) Muscarello, Sylvia (McArthur) Church, Anna (William) Jones, Della (Jack) Howes, and Betty (Earl) Frega; and 5 brothers and 3 of their spouses, Emmett (Shirley) Catenacci, Leo (Doris) Catenacci, Donald Catenacci, LeRoy (Phyllis) Catenacci and Raymond Catenacci.

Les final request was to have a public Celebration of Life Service will be held later in 2023.
