Leslie Briasson Blackburn, 72, died on October 14, 2022 in Bartlett, Illinois. Les was born on June 13, 1950 in Chicago. He grew up in Waukegan and Deerfield, Illinois. He graduated from Deerfield High School in 1968 and attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas on a full-tuition tennis scholarship.
After college, he worked as a tennis pro in Lake Forest, Illinois, a commodities trader in Chicago, and then in sales at a Chevrolet dealership in Chicago. Les had a big heart and a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his father John Briasson Blackburn, sister and brother-in-law Laurie and Terry Higgins, sister Nancy Anstett-Blackburn, sister Carol Blackburn-Rogers, twelve nieces and nephews, and twenty-two great-nieces and great-nephews.
Les was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Beverly Mae Blackburn.
Visitation Friday 10:00 am until time of his service 12:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie
