LeRoy “Lee” Daniel Schmitt, 68, of Streamwood, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family June 24, 2013.
Lee was a huge White Sox fan and he loved karaoke. He also loved sitting out on his deck and enjoying his retirement. Above all else he was a kind and generous man who always gave back to others and had a heart of gold. His spirit was truly one of a kind and will forever be cherished.
Lee was the beloved husband of Vicky (nee Field) for 10 years. Loving father of Brian Schmitt and Stacy Kalisz, loving step-father of Kevin(Sarah)Kalisz and Sean (Estela) Kalisz, Proud grandfather of Lily, Katie, and Kylee Schmitt.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, June 30 4:00p.m. until the time of memorial service 7:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Cremation took place at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to The Charles Warren Brain Tumor Awareness Foundation P.O. Box 298 Douglasville, G.A. 30133 would be appreciated.
