Lenore Wiard

Lenore A. Wiard – born and raised in Chicago, West Humboldt Park, St. Philomena Parish – late of Woodridge, Wheaton and Bartlett. A loving and devoted wife of the late Robert H. A working mom of 3 boys, James, Robert J. (Jan) and Thomas (Pam) and grandmother of Nathan, Kara Wiard (Andrew Crawford), Candice (Brian) Mitchell and Nicholas; sister of the late Kathleen Brokamp and Walter Stafford. A super hero before the term was invented. After raising her sons she returned to work full time first as an administrative assistant at Armor Foods when it was headquartered in Oak Brook – but the balance of her long work life was dedicated to Good Samaritan Hospital ( Evangelical Health Systems), starting first as a secretary to the director of nursing in the early seventies and advancing to chief nursing hiring officer 1987, a position she held into the nineties, after which she served as a hiring consultant to their long term care affiliates until her retirement. She spent her leisure time visiting with her children, grand children and great grandchildren - traveling, golfing, bowling, journaling and savoring glasses of Chardonnay. She loved and was, and will always be, loved and admired by all she knew."

Memorial visitation Monday, August 29th, 9:30 am until time of memorial mass 10:30 am at St. Peter Damian Church 131 S. Crest Ave. Bartlett. Private burial.
