Lene Santini

Maria Magdalena “Lene” Santini (nee Kunz), 89, of Schaumburg, died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at home. Born December 8, 1930 in Germany. Lene enjoyed gardening and especially liked yellow roses. She liked staying active and liked biking and at one time was walking 4 ½ miles a day. She was known for her baking and love of animals but what she was known best for was her love for her family. Beloved wife of the late Hermann Speck and Gerald Santini; loving mom of Ingrid (late Carmen) Cordone, Gary, Angelina (John) Fridono, Sylvia (Joe) Capello and the late Ursula Heise; cherished grandma of 9 and great-grandma of 12. Memorial visitation 9:30a.m. until time of service 10:30a.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 at Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 333 South Roselle Rd., Roselle. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to animal charity of choice would be appreciated.
