LaVerne M. Stewart, 89, late of Friendship Village in Schaumburg and formerly of Des Plaines, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010.
Born July 29, 1921 in Chicago. LaVerne was the daughter of William and Catherine (nee Olbeter) O’Conner.
LaVerne enjoyed many things, but the thing she loved the most was being with her family.
Beloved wife of the late William H. Sr; Loving mother of Patricia (William) Parker, William Jr. (Kathleen), James (Corinne) and Michael (Caryn); Adoring grandmother of Jennifer Grosch, William III, Kristine Klaczek, Blair Ciecko, Casey Keske, Steve Kundert, Laura Johnson, Jeff and Kelly; Caring great-grandmother of Lauren, Alex, Andrew, Connor, Wilson, Daniel, Jack, Emily, Ryan, Nicholas, Matthew, Claire, Will, Ethan, Kate and another expected in October; Cherished daughter to her late parents and fond sister to the late Charles and June.
Visitation Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 4-9p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S. Roselle (1/2 mile south of Irving park), Roselle. Funeral Thursday 10:15a.m. going to St. Hubert Church. Mass 11a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials to the American Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org would be appreciated.
