Laurie Slimak

Laurie Slimak (nee Szajek), 56, of Bartlett, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Born December 30, 1963 in Chicago. Laurie enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to theme parks. Laurie was a cherished nurse within the medical community. She will be missed by her family and friends. Loving wife of Patrick; loving mother of Jacqueline and Andrew; daughter of Betty (nee Gerk) and the late Jerome Szajek; dear sister of Michael (Susan), Robert and Lawrence (Anita) Szajek; kind niece of Alvin and Stella Gerk, Gladys Yant and caring aunt of many. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Due to the current Covid situation we are limiting the amount of people in our building to 50. Please be prepared to come, pay your respects and then depart so that others may do the same. Prayer Wednesday 9:15a.m. going to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 10:00a.m. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
