September 29, 1951 — January 24, 2020

Krystyna Ciecierski, nee Pohl, 68, of Bartlett and formerly of Hanover Park; dear wife of Jacek; loving mother of Maggie (Peter) Debski and Peter (Marta); cherished grandmother of Adrian, Amelia, Alexandra, Natalie, Henry and Damian; sister of Irek (Maria), Maggie and the late Tadeusz. Krystyna immigrated from Poland at the age of 34 to be a nurse in the United States. She was an incredible woman, lovingly described by Jacek as "the queen of the house". Her caring, compassionate nature served her well throughout her career as a hospice nurse. She also loved animals and cooking. Most of all she loved her family. She will always be remembered for putting her family first and being totally selfless.Visitation Wednesday, January 29th, 9:00 am until time of prayers 11:30 am at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd.(at Stearns rd.) Bartlett. Mass 12:00 pm / noon at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
