It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Warner, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Born in Fairfield, Illinois, on August 10, 1951 to her parents James and Joyce Kelly.
Kim was a dedicated nurse. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her professional life into her role as a devoted wife and mother. Kim's life was a vivid tapestry woven with threads of love, compassion, and a deep faith that guided her every day. She was a faithful Christian and held her spiritual beliefs close to her heart.
For nearly five decades, Kim shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Stephen L. Warner whom she regarded as her soulmate, best friend, and loyal protector. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, and Steve fondly remembers Kim as the love of his life. Together, they built a family filled with laughter, warmth, and treasured memories guided by faith.
Kim is survived by her loving children, Kristin (Chris) Athas, Melissa (Richard) Mansilla, William S. (Denise) Warner, and James S. (Nohelia Parkerson) Warner. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Penny and Dean Athas, Henry and Elle Mansilla, Jackson W. Warner, and Alexandra Warner, all of whom will carry her spirit in their hearts.
She is also survived by her four devoted sisters: Sherry Davies, Lisa Knaack, Candy O'Connor, and Shannon Reiskis, with whom she shared a lifelong family bond.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Kelly, whose memory she deeply cherished.
She found immense purpose and joy in cooking and baking for her family, always eager to try new techniques. She had a vast collection of recipes and loved listening to her favorite music while in the kitchen. Her Christmas cookie baking was legendary, making many different types every year. Kim took such pride in taking care of her family and delighted in her grandchildren. She always knew which toys and books they would enjoy most. She had a rare and steady intuition, always seeming to know exactly what was needed and when. Kim's loving touch in the home will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Kim's life at a visitation on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory in Bartlett, IL. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Interment is at Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, IL. Kim’s legacy is one of devotion, care, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
