**In Loving Memory of Kimberlee Ann Bruneman**

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kimberlee Ann Bruneman, 68, of South Elgin, on November 30, 2024. Kimberlee was a beloved mother, devoted grandmother, trusted friend, and dedicated nurse.

From childhood, Kimberlee was a caretaker. As the oldest of five siblings, she naturally took on a nurturing role early in life, guiding and supporting her brothers and sisters. This prepared her for a career rooted in empathy and strength as a passionate registered nurse. Her tireless dedication and exceptional care touched countless lives, offering solace and hope in the most trying times. Her work was not just a profession but a calling – one she embraced with unwavering commitment and grace.

At home, Kimberlee was the heart and soul of her family. Her children were her greatest pride, and she nurtured them with an abundance of love, wisdom, and unwavering support. That love knew no boundaries – it spanned continents and time zones, with no distance too far to travel to be with her kids.  As a grandmother, Kimberlee found her true joy. Her grandchildren were a renewed purpose, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their happiness and growth. Every moment spent with them – especially when having a picnic at the park or doing projects – was a precious gift filled with love. Her role as a grandmother was one of her proudest titles; her legacy will live on in their hearts.

Kimberlee was the life of every gathering, her vibrant spirit lighting up any room. She had a unique ability to bring people together, creating moments of joy and connection that will be cherished forever. As a dear friend to many, she was a confidante and a pillar of support, always ready with a kind word, helping hand or comforting food. She was always up for experiencing life to the fullest, embracing new adventures with enthusiasm and joy. She sought out ways to bring her loved ones together, creating a community of family and friends.

Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and an indomitable spirit. She leaves behind a family and community forever grateful for the time they had with her. Kimberlee is preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Gorse (nee. Hengels), and sister-in-law Lyssa Gorse. She is survived by her children Ryan (Benita) Bruneman and Rachel (Frederic Kunkel) Bruneman; their father Douglas Bruneman; her grandchildren (who called her ‘Nama’) Gwendolyn Grace, Arlo Andrew, Benjamin Ryan, and Isla Ann Bruneman; her siblings Keith Gorse, Thomas (Marlene) Gorse, Donna (Frank) Miller, John (Jess) Gorse; and her many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation is Saturday, December 7, from 12:30 p.m., until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m., at Countryside Funeral Home, 95 S. Gilbert Street (at State Street), in South Elgin. For more information please call (847) 289-8054.
