Kim Smith

Kim “Dood/Doodles/Doodle Bug” Smith, 55, of Elgin, died Monday, October 10, 2022 at home. Born August 18, 1967 in Melrose Park. Kim enjoyed life to the fullest. She was an avid sports fan, always supporting the Bears and White Sox. She loved to travel with family and friends to warm destinations with a sandy beach. She enjoyed cooking and was well known for her lasagna and Thanksgiving dinners. But what Kim loved most was spending time with her family and friends, especially her 5 nieces and nephews. Beloved daughter of Gerry and Jan Smith; loving sister of Greg (Michele) Smith and Michelle “Tish” (Bret) Blau; cherished “Mimi” of Shailee Smith, Celia Blau, Nathan Smith, Payton Blau and Cameron Smith, “Dog Mimi” to Cooper and Calvin, and caring niece, cousin and friend to many. Memorial visitation 12:00pm until time of memorial service 4:00 pm Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd, Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.mda.org or the Epilepsy Foundation of Illinois, www.epilepsychicago.org , would be appreciated.
