Kenneth "Ken" Hinz, 70, passed away on March 2, 2025, in South Elgin, Illinois.
Ken was born on May 5, 1954, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Darrell and Virginia Hinz. Throughout his life, he found joy in making others laugh. He had a knack for telling Dad jokes—often repeating them just to see if he could still get a chuckle. His sense of humor was a defining part of who he was, bringing warmth and laughter to those around him.
Ken is survived by his children, Crystal Gruszka, Justin Hinz, and Deanna McCarty; and his brother, Dennis Hinz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Virginia Hinz.
A memorial gathering will be held on March 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a service at 6:30pm at Countryside Funeral Home, located at 950 S Bartlett Rd, Bartlett, Illinois, 60103.
Ken’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared and the love he gave.
