Kenneth N. Fisher, Sr., 84 of Streamwood, IL formerly of Miami, FL. Loving husband for 51 years of the late Mirta J. (nee Brey). Kenneth was never the same after the love of his life died.
Born Aug. 24, 1927 in Washington, D.C., Ken died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.

Beloved father of Cora (Charles) Mullins, Ken Jr. (Barbara), Delia Wynn, Walter and the late Irene. Loving father-in-law of Susan, cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Nicholas) Rediehs, Jacob Mullins, Jesse Fisher, Kenny (Charissa) Wynn, Joshua (Kelsey) Mullins and Matthew, Lauren and Danielle Fisher. Son of the late Roy and Olga Fisher. Beloved brother of Priscilla “Tooty” Day and brother in law of Joy. He is also survived by his loving friend Stella and will be missed by his beloved dog, Bandy. He was preceded in death by siblings: Walter (Val), Betty (Jack) Shore, Roy P. Jr. (Mary), Patty (Hank) Meyers and John.

He retired from ARINC after 39 years. He was honorably discharged as a corporal from the army after serving from 1944 until 1952. Avid racquetball/handball player at the Elgin YMCA and the Elgin Park District. He always enjoyed coaching any team his family members were on. Loyal Cubs Fan. He loved to tinker with electronics & was a licensed Ham radio operator. His handle was “King Fisher”. He always felt at home when he was on the sea. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd., (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg.
