Kenneth Deters

Kenneth W. Deters, 75, of Elk Grove Village was called to his eternal home on Thursday June 14. He was a devout Christian and faithful member of Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. He served as a police officer for the Elk Grove Police Department from 1969-2001. Ken served in the military from 1966-1968 and was a Vietnam veteran. He was the loving husband of Carolyn, cherished father of John, Tom (Laurene), and David (Elizabeth), and devoted grandfather of Caleb, Micah, and Gabriel. He was beloved brother to Bob (Mary) and Gary (Sue), brother-in-law to Alyce (John) and Bill (Linda). He also had several loved nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home 333 South Roselle Rd., Roselle on Tuesday June 19 from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 149 West Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst from 9:30am until time of service at 10:00am.
