It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Cogswell, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left us on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at the age of 40. Kenneth was born on Thursday, September 19th, 1985, in the peaceful town of Bryan, Ohio, and was a resident of Bartlett, Illinois at the time of his passing.
Kenneth was a loving father to his two sons, Elijah Witham and Oliver Chaplin, who were the lights of his life. His passion for tinkering and his exceptional skills in building motors for his gas motor bikes were traits he lovingly shared with Oliver, creating lasting memories that both father and son treasured. A man of many talents, Kenneth also enjoyed the simple pleasures of fishing, embracing the serenity it brought.
He is warmly remembered by his loving parents, Loria (Thomas) Spadafore and Kenneth (Tammy) Cogswell, who nurtured his curiosity and innovative spirit from a young age. Kenneth was a caring and supportive brother to Allen (Doulesha) Cogswell and Alycia Spadafore, and a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Dominic, Alex, Aiden, Remi, Roman, Allen, Jr and AJ. His family was at the heart of his existence, and he always found joy in helping others, a testament to his altruistic nature.
Kenneth's life will be celebrated with a visitation at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL. Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, February 14th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm to pay their respects and share in the collective memories of a life well-lived.
Kenneth Cogswell's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His kind spirit, ingenuity, and genuine love for helping others have left an indelible mark on us all, serving as a lasting reminder of a beautiful life that touched so many.
