Kenneth L. Abraham, 82, of Schaumburg, IL passed away on December 25, 2023. Ken was born on March 7, 1941, to Floyd Emerson Abraham and Florence Arnone. Ken is survived by his loving children Lesley Lynne Isacks and Brian Kenneth Abraham; beloved grandchildren Cailey (Josh) Ball, Cooper, Russell, and Spencer Isacks; and adoring niece Lynn Toczyl. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Lynne Abraham; his father Floyd Emerson Abraham; his mother Florence Arnone; and his brother Floyd “Bud” Abraham.
A proud union man, Ken worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator (Operating Engineer) for IUOE Local 150 for six decades. He was a proud Navy veteran and cherished member of his beloved church home for over fifty years, Our Savior’s United Methodist Church. Ken enjoyed gardening, hunting, and absolutely LOVED fishing. He was passionate and knowledgeable on the subject, so much so that he appeared on WGN and other radio stations as a guest on many fishing shows. Ken was a prominent and long-time member of the Lake Geneva Fishing Club, serving as President for many years. His incredible passion for fishing was second to the passion he had for loving and caring for friends and family. Ken was an incredible father and wonderful grandfather, lovingly referred to as “Papa”. He was a handsome man, a humorous man, and a supportive man that one could always count on. Ken had a big heart, a genuine smile, a burly yet gentle nature, and an unusually luscious head of hair until his dying day. Ken was memorable for all of these things and SO many more. He will be missed by countless people.
