A memorial visitation for Kathy C. Essem of South Elgin since 1971 will be held Thursday December 27, 2012 3:00 - 6:00P.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1145 N. 5th Ave. St. Charles 60174. Memorial service 7:00p.m. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
Born September 27, 1945 in Boston, MA Kathy died Thursday December 20, 2012.
She is the beloved wife of 45 years of Jerry; loving mother of Ginger (Enzio) Manzella of St. Charles, Kelly (Robert) Whistler of Cary and Edward (Kelly) of Belvidere; proud grandmother of Joseph, Gerald and Clare Manzella, Stephen Dodaro, Jacob, Nicholas, Kaylie Whistler, Lily and Charlotte Essem; step daughter of Kaethe Gilman; dear sister of Michael Gilman, Judy Pepe, James M. Searson and Charles Searson; siblings Ron, Sue, Tenny and Benny; Many loving nieces, nephews and numerous sister and brother-in-laws.
She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Lenore Gilman, stepfather Glee Searson and niece Rebecca Berndt.
