In Loving Memory of Kathy Boller
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Boller, a beloved mother, grandmother, and esteemed member of the community. Kathy departed this world on November 14, 2023 (72), surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother and father, Irene and Raymond Kobus, and her brother, Raymond Kobus Jr. She is survived by her sister, Janice Sausman, her three children Rachel, Amanda, and Craig, as well as their loving partners, Brian (spouse to Rachel), Cassie (partner to Craig), and her three cherished grandchildren, Parker, Fiona, and Kylo.
For over 25 years, Kathy dedicated her life to the students of Bartlett and Elgin High Schools, positively influencing the lives of countless students as a guidance counselor. Her passion for education extended beyond counseling, as she directed the high school musicals, and coached the dance team. Kathy's love for musicals was evident throughout her life, as she also performed in dozens of musicals, finding a second family in her theater community. Her dedication to the arts was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside her. Under her guidance, students learned valuable life skills and discovered the transformative power of self-expression through the arts.
Kathy requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Kathy’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 S Bartlett Rd, on Sunday, December 10th, from 2-6pm, with a formal eulogy/memories shared at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please bring your favorite memories to share with us. Refreshments will be provided.
