Kathryn Willson

Kathryn P. Willson, nee Peaslee, of Schaumburg, formerly of Wheaton and Portage, Wi. wife of the late Frank E.; mother of Stephen (Karen), Margie (Russell) Vallimont, Teri (Randy) Yount, Pat (Doug) Treff, Beth (Michael) McCown and Kathy (Bob) Hootman; grandmother of 12; soon to be great grandmother; sister of Sr. Millicent Peaslee and the late Anne Boller. A graduate of St. Francis Academy in Joliet and also a proud graduate of NIU (receiving her degree, in liberal arts, at age 50, to show her children and grandchildren that education and persistence are very important). She devoted her time to her family but also her community by volunteering with Scouts and at Divine Savior hospital in Portage, Wi. Retirement in Wisconsin, which she and her husband LOVED, gave her the opportunity to do more baking and gardening. Visitation Thursday, August 31, 1:00 pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1001 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, Il., until time of mass 2:00 pm. Burial Friday, 11:30 am, St. Mary Cemetery, Portage, Wi. In lieu of flowers donations to International Essential Tremor Foundation or Special Olympics would be appreciated.
