Kathryn “Kathy” Marie Selpien (Rohrbacher), 64, of Saint Charles, IL passed away under hospice care on August 28, 2024. She had battled throat cancer in recent years and was regaining her strength and independence when she had a sudden decline in her health and was hospitalized.
She was born in Elgin, IL to Therese and George Rohrbacher on May 1, 1960. She attended and was a graduate of St. Charles High School and lived in the local area for many years. She was a devout Christian and maintained her faith in God throughout life’s ups and downs. She had a kind soul and gentle heart, often helping others whenever she could. Her selfless nature and free spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Therese and George Rohrbacher; her former husbands Michael Neely and Robert J. Selpien, brother George T Rohrbacher; sister Christine Hayden (Maly); Brother-in-laws, Mike Hayden, Jerry Maly and Gordon White; Nieces Meara Hargrave and Olivia Maly, and nephew James White.
She leaves behind her two children Sarah Selpien and Casey Selpien; three grandchildren, Laura, Johnny and Ava; Sisters Jeannette White and Patricia (Dale) Hargrave as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation Saturday September 7, 2024 at The Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 95 South Gilbert St., South Elgin for 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Private Cremation will follow at The Countryside Crematory. Info www.countrysidefuneralhomes.com or (847)289-8054
