Kathryn Gallagher

Kathryn Marie Gallagher, age 83, passed away on June 26, 2022.

Kathryn was born on October 25, 1938 to Lewis and Kathryn Letzow. Kathryn was a hard working mother of 3, spending many years at Ampex and the Villa Capri as a bartender. Kathryn was one of a kind; outgoing, humorous and adored by many.

Kathryn married John Edward DeBartolo on March 9, 1959. They had three beautiful children together, John Robert DeBartolo, William Edward DeBartolo and Karen Marie DeBartolo (Conyers). Kathryn and John later divorced, but remained loving parents until John’s death.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Kathryn Letzow and her sons John and William. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Karen Marie Conyers, granddaughters Ashley Nichole DeBartolo, Codi Saunders and Angela Bonilla. Kathryn is also survived by her partner of 30 years, Mike Fritze.

Funeral services will be held from 2:00 pm until time of service 3:00 on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 South Gilbert Street South Elgin, Il. The family would like to express our thanks to those who loved and laughed with Kathryn and to those who join us to celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman, wife, partner, mother, and grandmother.
