Kathleen M. Merkelz of Elgin; beloved sister of Arthur (Dorothy), Lawrence, Daniel (Rhea), Edward and the late Richard; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanore (nee Ziegler) Merkelz; proud aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was a teacher at Lake Louise School in Palatine for almost 40 years.
Visitation Sunday, December 28th, 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Monday, 10:15 a.m. to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 11:00 a.m.; following mass cremation will be at the Countryside Crematory.
