Kathleen "Kathy" Mayerhofer

Kathleen E. "Kathy" Mayerhofer (nee Tews), 76, of Roselle, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. Kathy was an employee of United Airlines for over 30 years. She was a delightful soul who enjoyed playing piano and was known as the "Crochet Queen" for crocheting blankets over the years for her whole family. Beloved wife of the late John Mayerhofer, Sr. and former wife of the late Robert Sawisch; loving mother of Jennifer (Bill) Decker, Michael (Valerie) Sawisch, and step mother of John (Nina) Mayerhofer, Jr. and Judi (Brett) Schreyer; proud grandmother of Lukas and Oliver Decker, Madison and Matthew Sawisch, and step grandmother of 5; cherished daughter of the late Herman and the late Adele (nee Hattendorf) Tews; dear sister of Linda (Robert) Warder; fond aunt of Aaron (Malinda) Warder, Kimberly Warder, Kara (Brandon) Baza, and Robby Warder; fond great-aunt of Logan and Mila. Visitation Tuesday, January 14 from 10:00am until time of service 1:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Rd.), Roselle.
