Kathleen Grzelak

Kathleen "Kathy" Bridget Grzelak (nee Harty), 73, of Bartlett, passed away with her family by her side on May 30, 2022. Kathy was the beloved wife of Jack Grzelak, they had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April. Loving mother of Jacklyn Grzelak-Boehne, Laura Stace (Chuck), Julie Griffin (Eric), and Jamie Dunn (Rob); proud grandmother of Kyle, Charlie, Kyli, Max, Emily and Logan; dear sister-in-law of Dolly Steed (Jim); cherished daughter of the late Jack & Lorraine Harty and William Harty; fond daughter-in-law of the late Helen & Joseph Grzelak; beloved sister, cousin and aunt to many; and dear best friend of Kathy Weil.

Kathy loved to spend time with her grandchildren taking them to every park in the state, and attending their sporting events, concerts and activities. She loved to read, travel - especially to shop & have cheap drinks at the VFW with her daughters in her "happy place" - Galena.

The visitation will be Sunday June 5, 3:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. The funeral will be 10:15am at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory followed by a Mass at St. Peter Damian Church at 11:00am.
