Katherine Weidner

Katherine F. Weidner (nee Kohnke), 86, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away peacefully July 14, 2021. Katherine was the beloved wife of Norman A. Weidner for 64 years; loving mother of Janice (Robert) Vassas, David (Janet) Weidner, Gregory (Tracey) Weidner, Julie (Timothy)Mertins, Donna Weidner, Jeanine (Sam) Reiss; loving grandmother of Brendon Weidner, Heather (Ian) Olson, Kyle Weidner, Parker Weidner (fiancee Sarah Collier), Troy Mertins, Allison Mertins, Spencer Weidner, Skyler Reiss, Bobby Vassas, Courtney Reiss; loving great grandmother of Collin Weidner, Kendall Olson, Harper Weidner; her siblings Louanna (the late Fred) Steinken,George (Gert) Kohnke, Richard (Ligia) Kohnke, and Judy (Herb) Allen; many nieces and nephews and a community of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents,George and Katharine Kohnke; her sister Margaret (George) Stieber; her granddaughter, Anne Vassas.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 333 S. Roselle Rd. (south of Irving Park Rd.) in Roselle, IL. Funeral service will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
