Karen Bowler of Schaumburg, Illinois passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents, F.W. (“Bill”) and June Eckhardt, and brother James Eckhardt. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Bowler, two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen grew up in and graduated high school in Glen Ellyn. She spent many years working at Marshall Fields and volunteering at her church’s food bank. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and crafts.
Please join us in celebrating Karen’s life on Friday, June 23, 2023, visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of funeral mass 10:00 am at St. Marcelline Catholic Parish, 822 Springinsguth Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation, in her name, to the St. Vincent De Paul - St. Marcelline Catholic Parish Food Bank, in Schaumburg, IL. For information: 630-289-8054
