June Pompilio

June M. Pompilio, 83, of Streamwood, IL, passed away on August 29, 2024. Born on August 26, 1941, to David and Rose Hilgenberg, June was the beloved wife of Fred for nearly 60 years. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lora, and her parents. She is survived by her husband Fred, her daughter Karin (Vincent) Mennella, her son Fred Pompilio, her daughter Kimberly (George) Mooses-Pompilio, her two granddaughters, Kristina and Kara, and her in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

June enjoyed working and traveling, but most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family. Her most treasured moments were watching her granddaughters grow. June began her career as an administrator at First Security Bank in Elmwood Park, where she met the love of her life, Fred. She then became a stay-at-home mother for many years before returning to the workforce. Upon her return, she worked at First National Bank of Chicago and then performed general office duties at Air Right Heating and Air Conditioning. Subsequently, she worked as a ParaPro at CCSD 93 in Carol Stream. After retiring, she found joy in caring for her granddaughters and later became a part-time lunch supervisor in District U-46. She will be deeply missed by many.
