Julia Prokup

Julia Louise Prokup was born in Oak Park, Illinois on June 14th, 1957. She passed away on August 30th, 2023 at the age of 66, surrounded by her family. Julia was a kind and bright woman, who loved reading, watching General Hospital and Jeopardy, and spending time with her dogs, of which she had many over the course of her life. Nobody ever met Julia who didn't remark on her kindness and friendly nature. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband, Bruce, her daughter, Alyssa, her son, Keith, and her dogs, Harley and Ziggy. She is survived also by her father, Thomas Reader, her brother Jeffery Reader and his wife Cheryl, her sister Lara Helinski and her husband Jon, and her many nieces and nephews.



A memorial service will be held at Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church, 1600 Schaumburg Road, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 28th, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wright-Way Rescue, 5915 Lincoln Ave, Morton Grove, Illinois, 60053.
