Judy Wilson of Schaumburg & Hanover Park, 83, has passed away following an extended illness on June 29, 2025. Private graveside services will be held in her hometown of Virden, Illinois. She was born August 5, 1941, the daughter of John and Mildred Kime. Judy graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in elementary education. She was a long-time educator who retired from Schaumburg School District 54, having impacted numerous students, families, and staff throughout her career. She was a passionate and committed member of Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church from 1971 until her illness. Throughout her time at ORUMC, she was an active participant and advocate in the church's education department, helping to establish and launch the Christian Corner Children's Center. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to garden, travel, read, and serve her church and community. She is survived by her children, Julia (Ronald) Gorvett, Richard (Renee) Wilson, Susan (John) Wilson, and Carol (Douglas) Wilson-Smith. Her dearly loved grandchildren, Sydney, Kelsey, Wyatt, Allison, Brendan, Lily, Delia, Georgie, and Buster. Her dearly loved great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Archie, Dominick, Wally, Maverick, Jude, Gunther, and Oliver. She is survived by her sister, Joyce (David) Smith, and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Archie, her infant son, Steven, both her parents, her brother Jack, and sister Janice. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name may be made to Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church, 1600 W.
