Judy Drish, 75, nee Fry, mom of Julie (Mike) Aiello, Jennifer Wennerstrom and Jill (Jason) Bondi; grandma of Alexandra (Travis) Rauch, Brooke Lynn Wennerstrom and Aiden Edward Bondi; sister of Barbara Cusimano, Terri (Dan) Blitek, Maxine (Bob) Essex and the late Sharon Fry and the late David Fry; aunt of Forrest "Frosty" (Lisa), Dee, Dan Jr., Dominik, Tom (Kristine), Jensen, David and Andrew; great aunt of E.J., Rosalie and Luella and daughter of the late Forrest Fry and the late LaVerne Dudek.
Judith Marie Drish (Fry) was born in Chicago on October 30 th , 1947. Judy loved her family and was most proud of her three girls – Julie, Jennifer, and Jill. When she wasn’t shopping (at Walmart) or eating out, Judy enjoyed listening to music, sewing, nurturing her indoor plants, or working on a floral design craft. Judy was a natural born caregiver; while raising her three daughters, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and furthered her education by becoming a Registered Nurse and graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Saint Francis. Her nursing career spanned over 35-years where she gained experience as a trauma nurse specialist, ER nurse, a psychiatric unit nurse, with the majority of her career specializing as a hospice nurse. Judy was a bright light and touched the lives of many, her silly sense of humor, beautiful green eyes and smile will be missed, but her family will carry the beauty of Judy forever in their hearts and soul.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at West Ridge Community Church 3300 Encounter Lane Elgin, IL on Monday, October 30th with friends welcome to arrive at 5:00 pm and stay for the service at 6:00 pm. The family would also like to invite everyone for refreshments, food and fellowship in the church cafe immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers donations to your favorite animal shelter would be appreciated. 847-289-8054.
