Judith Mae Kallas, 75, of Streamwood, Illinois, passed on October 20, 2023, surrounded by everyone she loved. She was born on December 27, 1947, in Aurora, Illinois. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Betty Johnson and her brothers Mike and Jerry. Judy grew up in Newark, Illinois, attended Newark High School, and Graduated from Northern Illinois University. Judy was the beloved wife of 55 years, of Bill Kallas, who was lucky enough to win her heart while attending the same University. In her last days, she was attended to by her Husband, her loving sons, Kris and Jim, her brothers, Scott and Allen, nieces, and friends, both local, and from her High School days. She was lucky enough to finish her last 3-1/2 months at home, fully able to see how much she was loved.
Judy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1967, and has battled the disease, without complaint for 56 years. She progressed from needing a cane, to being wheelchair bound. She may be gone now, but she was always a remarkable, and widely loved woman.
