Judi “Judy” Pederson-Cornick, 66, of Addison, IL passed away peacefully, on January 7, (the Feast of the Epiphany) in her childhood home in Lombard, IL with her faithful feline, Weimer, snuggled by her side.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1025 E Madison St, Lombard. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00am at the church. Inurnment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL immediately following the Mass.
Judi was born on September 3, 1957, in Oak Park, IL to James and Mary Ann (Jablonsky) Hedin. She attended St. Pius X Elementary School in Lombard, IL; Willowbrook High School, Villa Park, IL, and Drake University, Des Moines, IA.
Judi was a professed member of the Lay Carmelite community. She was artistic and creative and enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, and reflecting on the awe and beauty of God’s creation.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Hedin; husband, Ron Cornick; son, Eric Pederson; grandchildren, Tylor and Hailey; sister and brother-in-law, Marianne and Frank Agnoli; nephew, Francis Agnoli; niece, Mary Ready (Danny Ready); and beloved cats, Weimer and Kitten Cake.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Hedin, and an innumerable number of feline friends.
