Joyce Eloise (Farthing) Danforth, 86 of Schaumburg, IL, since 1960, died October 12, 2017, following her short and courageous battle with lung cancer. Born February 13, 1931, Douglas, Wyoming, she was daughter of the late George and Edna (Morsch) Farthing (Denver, Colorado); and sister to her late brother, Robert J. Farthing (Massachusetts). Beloved wife of 51 years to the late John Delos Danforth before his passing in 2003. Loving mother of Ellen (Rick) Schumacher of Indio, California; Bob (Jennifer) of Denver, Colorado; and Scott of Schaumburg, Illinois. Cherished grandmother of Eric (Blaine) and Jeremy (Jenna); Bradley, Crissy (Chris) Garner, and Samantha; Andrew, Patrick, and the late Lauren Danforth. Dear great grandmother of Brody and Dylan; Chase and Emily; and Tessa. Sister-in-law Mary Guy (Indiana).
Visitation, Monday, November 13, 2017, at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 3 pm to 9 pm, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
