Joyce Chesters

August 6, 1943 — February 3, 2025

Joyce M. Chesters, 81, of Hanover Park passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2025, following a long illness. Joyce was born on August 6, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of the late William and Leonore Walendziewicz. She is survived by her husband Thomas Chesters and four children: Mark (Phyllis) Reiter, Donna (Daniel) Drapalik, Bryan (Cristian David) Chesters, and Lisa (Vito) Mazza. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Timothy Reiter, Steven (Abigail) Drapalik, Scott (Megan) Drapalik, Giovanni Mazza, Aria Mazza, and great-granddaughter Elanor Drapalik.

Joyce enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, collecting angels, and going on day trips with various seniors’ groups. However, what brought her the greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Memorial Visitation Friday, February 7, 2025 from 3:00pm – 9:00pm with a service at 5:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg.
