Joshua Zbinden

Joshua Timothy Zbinden, 49, of South Elgin died August 4, 2025. Josh was the beloved husband of Rachel Zbinden (Brown) for 8 years; loving father of Esther Zbinden; cherished son of Timothy and Judith Zbinden; dear brother of Shelley (Ross) Naheedy, Tabitha (Jeremy) Gibson, Brad (Alisha) White and Lee Ann (Dale) Foster; fond uncle of Nyra, Darby, Savanah, Carter, Rylie, Skylar and Logan.

Josh was a sneaker collector. He enjoyed photography and music. As a teacher he was always very supportive of his students. He liked to explore by going on road trips.

Memorial visitation Saturday, August 16, 2:00pm - 6 :00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at Middle Road) South Elgin. Memory sharing will take place at 5:00pm. If you will attend please wear your coolest sneakers in Josh's honor. In lieu of flowers donations to the family to assist with a college fund for Esther would be appreciated.
