September 5, 1957 — March 17, 2019

Joseph Danato Volpe, 61, died March 17, 2019. Joe was the beloved husband of Sandy for 38 1/2 years; loving father of Nicholas (Jennifer) Volpe and Jenna (Matthew) Lydon; proud grandfather of Dominic Volpe; cherished son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Volpe; dear brother of Ralph (Lee) Volpe and Barbara LaMantia; loving son in law of the late James and Patricia Levendoski; fond brother in law of Joy (Donald) Friske and Kathy (Tim) Molitor. He will be missed by his special companions Mia and Millie, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was beloved by many wonderful friends.

Retired from the Village of Hoffman Estates where he worked as Traffic Operations Supervisor. Joe enjoyed fishing and was a member of the North Suburban Police Pistol League. He was also passionate about classic cars and motorcycles as well as having owned an American muscle car himself. Family was very important to Joe, his passion was being a part of his children's lives.

Visitation Wednesday, March 20, 3:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Road), Roselle. Funeral Thursday 9:45a.m. to St. Marcellione Church. Mass 10:30a.m.Following mass, cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation www.npcf.us/donate-volunteer/ways-to-donate/donate/ or to the family would be appreciated.
