Joseph A. Soffietti, 84, of Schaumburg died Saturday, February 14, 2009 in Naples, FL. Born October 19, 1924 in Bessemer, MI. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the USMC. Joseph retired from Sears after 30 years where he worked in advertising. He enjoyed fishing and being an artist. He especially enjoyed giving away his paintings to family and friends.
Survivors include son John of Lake in the Hills and brother Eugene (Hellen) of MI.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Kay, nee Panos, parents and brother John.
Visitation Sunday from 2 – 7 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 333 S Roselle Rd, Roselle. Prayers Monday 9:30 a.m. going to St. Walter, 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Cr, Chicago, IL 60674.
