Joseph Slavicek

Joseph John Slavicek of Elgin, IL; beloved husband of 31 years to Sharon (nee Haynes); loving father of Cortney (Kyle) Thomas and Elizabeth (Keith) Smith; cherished grandfather of Brianna and Kyle; dear son of Eleanore and the late Joseph; fond brother of Mildred Gulliford, Michael (Karen), Daniel (Mitzie), Susan Bliss and the late Glenn; many loving nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a CCD teacher at St. Laurence parish for over 20 years and a proud veteran of the Marine Corps.

Visitation Sunday, April 26th 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St., (at State St.) South Elgin. Funeral Monday, 9:15 a.m. to St. Laurence Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. following mass cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
