Joseph Melfi

Joseph Melfi, 51, of San Francisco, passed away peacefully Tuesday night with his family at his side. He is survived by his parents Joseph and Judith Melfi, nee Musicus; a sister Anissa (Todd) Estep and a brother David (Tena) Melfi; niece and nephews Andrew, Tamsyn and Quinn Estep and Beck Melfi; aunt Joanne (Ron) Ermold; many cousins and countless friends all over the world. Joseph enjoyed life to its fullest. His favorite holiday was St. Patrick's Day (the same day as his birthday). He had a strong faith, a sense of humor and a love for all people. A graduate of Canandaiqua Academy (class of '1982) in Canandaiqua, New York, Alfred State in New York and Niagara University also in New York. His career led him to a job he truly loved as Director of Quality Assurance and Safety for William Sonoma / Pottery Barn. His work enabled him to travel to all parts of the world. He will be missed by many. Visitation Sunday May 3rd from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 South Gilbert St. South Elgin, Il. 60177. Funeral Monday 9:15 am to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:00 am. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following his mass.
