Joseph J. LaPorte, Sr., of Bartlett, loving husband of 23 years to Judy, nee Radavick; dad of Joe, Jr. (Cathy), The Mic and Jenny L.; grandpa of Elizabeth, Madeline and Angie; brother of Patricia (William) Castagnino; uncle of Jon, Jenna, Billy and Mark Parlanti. Joe worked as an accountant most of his adult life. While raising his children in Bartlett he was very active with Bartlett Little League, coaching and umpiring. He supported all Chicago teams (except the Cubs). He was known for his quick wit and giving personality. He was active with the First Cavalry Unit and VFW in Roselle. Visitation Wednesday, June 6th, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation PO Box 50008 Studio City, CA 91614-5001 would be appreciated.
